Thoughts on Racism.

So I was lying in our massaging chair, trying to get a grip on my very strained neck. I don't think it liked the way I head banged yesterday. Oh well! I had fun. Back to my point! So I was lying there, thinking about various things, making the time fly. And my thoughts fell on racism. The point of racism is not to separate people into categories or races, right? Then..why is it called 'racism'. I know, it has to have a name. But..if we call it racism, it's kinda like we're acknowledging that we have something called races. But just because we have different colors it doesn't mean we're different races, now does it? It's like...we have different species of animals, but we don't categorize them based on their color. It's something to do with genes. And no matter if you are a religious person or a scientific person, the fact is that we all originate from the same species. Therefore we can never become different 'races'. Our genes originate from the same people or animals, the only thing which has changed is the pigment of our skin. So let's just erase the word 'human races' for a second. Why at all think about the color of another persons skin? I don't get it. Personally, I'm not racist. People are people, no matter if they are black, white, mulatto, 'yellow', albino or whatever! It's what's on the inside that counts.
Well then...now we get to another big factor in the racism talk : religion.
Why do we have to hate other people for their beliefs? We have so many different religions in this world! Why look at it with a negative point of view? Why not look at religion with an open mind and think 'it's different from what I'm used to, but what the heck, maybe I can learn something?'. Well I'm not really a religious person. Not that I'm an atheist! Because that I am definitely not! I believe that there is something more out there. I just haven't quite figured out what it is for me. Not yet anyway. Because I am one of those people, who can see something true in every religion. And I find religion very interesting. It's something that I hope one day, I can study into. But right now, I don't have the head for it, to be honest. Maybe, I'm too young. Well my point was actually that I wasn't able to see it from a religious persons point of view, so maybe it's wrong of me to write about it. But it's like this...because me and another person have different opinions on a subject, it doesn't mean we have to hate each other. It's like that with religion also. Of course in the case of religion it's a much bigger 'subject' there's talk about, but we still don't have to fight each other, just because we don't believe in the same thing. That's my opinion anyway. People are welcome to think differently from me, I'm not trying to get everyone to think my way is the right way. Because of course there's people who have different views on these subjects than me! And I'm definitely not trying to create world peace, because that was my ambition and as I grew up, I had to realize that it simply wasn't possible. Oh the silly little and very mysterious dreams of a 10-year old.
